A degradation in the storage medium used for CCTV archival footage resulted in storage locking to read-only mode and took Frigate down with it.

Upon investigation, it was found that using USB to SATA adapters are not so reliable... big news.

I plugged the disks into my desktop and mounted them to the server over SMB share (yeah.... shut up) to get everything back up ASAP. The hard drives has been entirely replaced with an SSD of same size, and while Frigate is currently working off of HDD ...
